ARE THERE ANY MEDICAL CONDITIONS THAT MAY MAKE MASSAGE THERAPY INADVISABLE?  YES...It is important that you inform the therapist of any health problems and medications in your New Client Intake Forms and every time you see your therapist.  Depending on medical condition, you may need a written recommendation for massage from your physician.

Before Your Massage
It is best NOT to eat a heavy meal a few hours prior to your session to allow better relaxation.
DO drink plenty of water prior to your session as hydrated muscles relax more rapidly than dehydrated muscle tissue.
Arrive at least 10 minutes early to your FIRST scheduled session to fill out Client Forms.
Your session begins promptly at the time you have scheduled.

After Your Massage
The following may help to preserve the effects of your massage session:
Drink 2 quarts of fresh water a day
Use pillows or bolsters while sleeping to keep spine straight
Stretch
Apply ice packs on painful areas
Be aware of your posture
Breath slowly, extending on the exhale
Be positive
Take stress breaks
